Speaking about the club...
Rotaract is an international program of the
Rotary International for young professionals ages 18 to 30 who want
to make a difference. There are 163,000 members of some 7,088 Rotaract
clubs in 151 countries. Being a member of Rotaract Club Of CEG since
last year, I've been able to gain friendship with students and professionals
in and outside the college campus. I get a possibility to serve
my community, and enrich my social and leadership skills at the
same time. 'Service - which is rendered without joy helps neither
the servant nor the served. But all other pleasures and possession
pale into nothingness before service which is rendered in a spirit
of joy!' said Mahatma Gandhi. We are in this world to make humanity
smile with a joy! To accomplish this, there is a need to form a
team. A team which empowers towards success. After all, there is
no elevators to success and the only way out is to take the stairs.
This is the right situation where Rotaract comes into action. Rotaract
builds leaders, and leaders build strong clubs with effective programs.
These leaders organize and promote their Rotaract clubs. The ultimate
goal of Rotaract Clubs is to serve the community and to promote
international understanding and goodwill.
Although people are from more than 150 countries
of the world and speak dozens of different languages for communication,
we share a common concern for each other's well being. The Rotary
family provides a haven where we can gather the strength and encouragement
to face the challenges of the world. It offers comforting traditions,
asking that we honor those who came before us and celebrate our
newest arrivals. We could say that compassion is the fuel that could
run the engine of The Rotaract organizations and we are lucky that
such a fuel is never in short supply - in fact, the more we use
it, the more we will have available to us. And it is compassion
that we will need in full measure to pursue the noble objectives
of the club for which Rotaract has come to be known the world over.
Finally, I wish that the organization grows with more professional
members with highly intelligent capabilities to make the world renowned
by eradicating poverty, ill-treatment and illiteracy. Lend a hand
- do a favor - reach the heights of satisfaction.
The greatest gift that u can give to some one is ur precious time, Because u r giving them a portion of life that cant be got back..
