SANGARSH is the annual charity event of the rotaract club of the College of Engineering , Guindy. The event was initiated under the able leadership of the former president of the club Mr.Saurabh Kumar Sahu in the year 2003.The beneficiaries of the event were the physically handicapped students of the college who were presented with motorised wheel chairs.

Thereafter the project was taken over by the next president Mr.Prathap Rao. During his tenure the event was organised at the music academy. A drama show by CRAZY Mohan was arranged and the funds collected through this event ( around 50000) was donated to the CANCER INSTITUTE .The attraction of the event was the presence of film stars like director Bala , actor Dhanush and actor Srikanth. They graced the event with a small speech and later an interactive event was arranged with the stars.

Sangarsh '05 was a event organised at the same Music Academy with a show by Crazy Mohan . The funds collected was used for setting up of a AUDIO LIBRARY for the visually impaired students.

Sangarsh '06 was also organised in Music Acadamy with performance of music troop Laxman Shruthi and dance troop of John Blitto. A fund was used for providing an ambulence to an organisation called CHESS, which takes care of the AIDS affected children.
